At iConnect we are specialized in developing health care systems. We built higly sophisticated health care applicatoins. The Client operates over 170 specialty medical clinics across the US, located in large worksites, including factories, distribution centers, even motion picture studios. The Client’s existing electronic medical record (EMR) had been used successfully for many years, but needed to be rewritten and upgraded to stay competitive, comply with increasing an increasingly complex regulatory environment, and support expansion plans. In addition, the Client had decades of data that needed to be transferred to the new system so customer records and patient histories would remain accessible. The new EMR would also have to be deployed with minimal disruption to ongoing medical practice operations. The client turned to iConnect to for a solution.

The iConnect team worked closely with the Client’s IT and clinical leaders to design a solution that met all their requirements, including supplying a team that could develop a web based .NET application. The new EMR was designed, developed, and delivered after two years of work – on time and under budget.

The EMR features an enhanced user interface. The software also met the client’s requirements for HIPPA-compliant data security, full backward data compatibility, real-time workflows, and offers the flexibility to meet the Client’s current and future needs for customization and business growth. The client tested the new EMR side by side with the existing system running in parallel in several clinics before beginning a national roll out which is now nearly complete.

The Client has since retained iConnect to complete apps for smart phones and contracted iConnect Tech for another major project – rewriting and upgrading a telemedicine system currently serving over 80,000 locations.
